A Small Boat Blessing

May those who are creative be blessed with vision & skills to in produce art that inspires, comforts & challenges

May those who are studying be blessed with a deep hunger for knowledge & to question and also to complete what is before them

For those who work with the poor marginalised & the physically challenged, see their clients through your eyes & have ears to hear your heartbeat for them

For parents, we ask that you grant patience that overflows into every part of their day & a patience that withstands the slings & arrows of outrageous childhood

For those who are in leadership at work &/or in leadership at church, who need to discern the way forward through tricky terrain… may they be blessed with great wisdom, dispensed in a way that smooths the waters & lifts heads to the horizon

For those who are suffering, bless Lord with healing & endurance & faith

For those who are angry bless Lord with a deep, deep breath…. & a desire to forgive as we have been forgiven by you

May those who are new to this world never lose their sense of wonder for what you have created & may they know that the best is yet to be revealed

May those who are searching for something more but also something real, be given a strong sense of the love of the father God, the son of God, & the spirit of God
