Stand Up for those in Poverty

By: Pete Horsley on: 12.10.06

This Sunday we will take part in a world record attempt to be the most number of people simultaneously standing up for those in poverty - will you?

Starting at 8pm AEST on Sunday 15th and through until 8pm Monday 16th October 2006 people from all over the world will be standing up as an act of solidarity with those in poverty and as a message to the world's political leaders that we believe it is necessary to stick to our promises to the Millennium Development Goals. Stand Up, register your stand up event online at MakePovertyHistory.org.au or ONE.org.
